Attrition rate and cost calculator
What is attrition actually costing?
A monthly attrition figure means little until it is annualised, and nothing at all until it carries a replacement cost. Both are one multiplication away.

The formula
How this is calculated.
- 1Attrition = leavers ÷ average headcount
- 2Annualised = attrition × (12 ÷ months in the period)
- 3Cost = leavers × cost to replace one agent
Before you trust it
What this model assumes.
- Annualising a short period magnifies anything seasonal. One bad month over three is not a 24% year.
